This interactive series addresses the need for higher-level mathematics with varying levels of difficulty. Correlated to NCTM Standards. For each topic, there is a student practice for self assessment, and an option for the teacher to pre-select question sets for quizzes. Programs feature interactive tutorials, scientific calculator and graphing tools, journal-writing tasks, and immediate feedback to students. The teacher’s manual includes overview, additional classroom resources, instructions, and more. The tracking system records students’ time, quiz results, and tutorial activity. Set of four CD-ROMs includes Algebraic Foundations (concepts include: numbers and polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, and equations and inequalities); Functional, Geometric, & Statistical Relationships (concepts include: domain and range; values and zeros; angles and triangles; polygons, surface area, and volume; and line and curve of best fit); Linear Relations (concepts include: linear functions and systems, interpolation and extrapolation, slopes and intercepts, and inequalities); and Quadratic Relations (concepts include: quadratic equations and functions, solving by isolation or factoring, solving by completing the square, and solving with quadratic formula). SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 98 or higher, 300 MHz Pentium II, 128 MB RAM, 35 MB of free hard drive space; Macintosh OS X or higher, 266 MHz G3, 128 MB RAM. Grades 5-9.
