Help students visualize and demonstrate four basic algebra relations for better understanding with foam blocks. This set uses area and volume to represent terms that are the product of two and three quantities, respectively. The edge lengths of the blocks are labeled in terms of the variables a and b to help students relate the areas and volumes. Color instructions describe the use of the blocks to demonstrate these relations. Four reproducible worksheets guide students in the use of the blocks, including measuring and calculating areas and volumes to provide concrete demonstrations of these relations. Blocks measure 1"-3" on a side. Includes 12 blocks made from soft, durable, and nontoxic foam. Grade 7 and up.
