This kit will give your Alzheimer’s residents/clients the opportunity to perform, with adaptations when appropriate, many of the everyday kitchen tasks they did for much of their lives. The supplies are familiar items that will quickly bring back memories of “chores” they performed everyday. This set was developed with low-middle stage to low stage Alzheimer’s residents in mind. As with all items given to an Alzheimer resident, one must monitor how items in this kit are being used. Because residents’ conditions can vary from day to day, reassessment needs to continue regularly to determine if the items and activities continue to be appropriate for each person. Contains an instruction sheet listing a variety of activities using the items in the set and a list of topics relating to the items in the set to be used in a reminiscence group. Includes: dishpan, cutlery tray, dish drainer, 12 dish cloths, 12 dish towels, 16-piece flatware set, eggbeater, 3-cup sifter, 5-piece covered mixing bowls, laundry basket, gadget set, and instructions.
