A self-monitoring traffic light sound meter. The green light stays lit until noise in the classroom approaches the sound level determined by teacher. Then the light turns to yellow as a warning. When the sound level reaches 15 decibels above the pre-determined level, the red light goes on and the siren sounds (the siren can be deactivated if desired). The teacher can adjust acceptable levels of noise for quiet activities or louder group work. The 17" H x 5-1/2" W unit can stand on its own or be wall mounted. Computerized light has a sound level meter that can be set from 50-110 decibels. 120V AC.
