Product Description
Power it with only a cup of steaming hot coffee! The Stirling engine is an excellent product to help students understand the concept of a temperature-powered engine. The propeller is powered by moving a foam air piston vertically through a silicon rubber diaphragm between plates of different temperatures. Any temperature difference of at least 68° F (20° C) will put the engine in motion. The moving parts are clearly visible to allow students to easily grasp the dynamics of this engine. Measures 5-1/2" L x 5-1/2" W x 6-1/2" H. Grades 9-12.
