What is the direction of the flow of blood through the human heart? How do the great vessels connect to the heart, and where do they go? This kit includes the heart with the four chambers exposed, and the aorta, vena cava, and pulmonary arteries, which must all be attached. Red and blue arrows show circulation, and red and blue (deoxygenated) erythrocytes allow students to take the blood cell on its journey through the heart, switching from the deoxygenated cell to the oxygenated one at the appropriate place. The heart is 23" high.
What are Speak Easies? Speak Easies, invented by teachers for teachers, are designed to facilitate lecture and review on a variety of science-related topics. Speak Easies’ “Stick-ups” are colorful magnetic visual aids designed for use on magnetic white boards. “Stick-ups” show structures, processes and relationships in different biological systems and subject areas. They can be easily constructed by the teacher step-by-step during presentation of a concept. They can also be used by students as a method of practice and review, and provide a handy tool for quizzes and tests.
