A great hands-on activity for demonstrating buoyancy and density. The set contains small pellets made of four different polymers with different densities. The mixture can be separated out using flotation. One type of pellet will float in tap water, two others will float in appropriate salt solutions, and the last will remain on the bottom. Use this activity for practical application discussions such as recycling methods. Contains 12 plastic spoons, 48 small plastic cups, polymer mixture bag, instruction manual, suggested activities, and explanations. Quantities included are more than adequate for a class of 24. Grade 7-12.
