This educational board game is designed to teach young people how to navigate the dangers of the Internet, including wireless devices such as cell phones, PDA’s, and MP3 players. Major topics covered include Internet predators, Internet bullying, scams, viruses, and the practice of pro-social Internet behavior. It also can be used as high-interest material for students who are less savvy than their peers about the Internet. The game board represents cyberspace. There are various icons representing search, spam, chat, cell phones, etc. Players travel around cyberspace answering questions and winning play money for correct answers. Includes 4 decks of cards: detective cards with mysteries to solve, true-false cards, decision cards with multiple choice questions, and agree or disagree cards with open-ended questions in which a second player gets a chance to agree or disagree with the first player’s answer. Also includes reproducible tips for parents and age-appropriate Internet safety pledges. Includes game board, 140 cards, and 6 playing pieces. Playing time: 45 minutes. For 2-6 players or teams. Grades 3-7.
