This set contains sufficient parts for 14 easy-to-make, self-assembly atomic orbitals. Pink and purple pear-shaped lobes represent the two wave phases - positive and negative of the p and d atomic orbitals. The atomic nuclei are represented by opaque white spheres. Each model comes with a transparent base for display. Model heights (including base) are: 2" s orbital, 3-1/2" p orbital, and 3" d orbital. Set comes with parts to build the following models: one 1s unhybridized; one 2s unhybridized; three 2p unhybridized; five 3d unhybridized; one 2s plus three 2p unhybridized; and three sp, sp2, and sp3 hybridized. Grade 9 and up.
