Capture your class’s attention with an engaging look at the weather around us. Students will learn about barometric pressure by measuring air pressure with a barometer they themselves will construct. Using the weather maps provided, they’ll grasp the basic concepts behind weather forecasts. Students will also: simulate violent weather, read cloud formations, investigate the water cycle, measure atmospheric moisture, explore how temperature affects weather, investigate relative humidity, and measure precipitation as well as wind speed and direction. For 40 students. Grades 4-8.
