Mitosis Simulation Lab Investigation

An easy, graphic way to visualize the process of mitosis. Students will experience hands-on learning about chromosome function and structure by constructing models using colored pop beads. Students will then use these “chromosomes” to model each stage of mitosis. In the process, they’ll gain a better understanding of what happens during cell division as well as the ability to distinguish between plant and animal mitosis. For 40 students. Grades 7-10.
