An ideal beginner’s robot, this battery-controlled robot kit can teach the basic principles of robotic sensing and locomotion. A condenser microphone and pre-assembled printed circuit board controls multi-function (walking or climbing) friend. If the robot appears to be asleep, just cry “wake up!” and it will immediately start climbing or walking for a preset time and then reset itself waiting for another command. It features hardware and mechanical drive system. Selected by the Children’s Institute for Childhood Resources as “100 Best Children’s Products” and “10 Best High-Tech Products.” Requires two “AA” batteries (not included) for operation and basic hand tools for assembly. 4" W x 4" x 4-1/4" L.
