Simple and reliable, the instrument operates on the proven “wind powered” principle of aircraft speed indicators. The inclined-vertical scale provides amplified readings even at low wind velocities for easy reading. The handsomely styled rooftop sensor looks like a modern weather vane. The wind pressure is transmitted from this sensor to the wind speed indicator through the sturdy connecting plastic tubing. Wind speed is indicated both in mph and in Beaufort Scale. Instrument is constructed of practically unbreakable white SAN plastic. Gold colored aluminum face is coated with litho scale epoxy for permanence. Built-in spirit level insures proper positioning. Metal parts heavily plated. Vane is made of tough, red ABS plastic. Dimensions of indicator: 7-1/2" x 6" x 1-1/4". Kit includes: Mark II Indicator, 50 ft. flexible double column tubing, mounting hardware, fluid, and instructions.
