This electronic learning tool has the ability to scan text on Reading Rods®, convert it to speech, and display it on the LCD screen. It features a 30,000 word dictionary that includes 9,000 core vocabulary words. There are three modes of learning using Reading Rods®: Letter Mode (reads single letter rods to identify letter and give letter sound), Word Mode (reads all rods in a string as one word, breaks it into phonetic components), and Sentence Mode (reads the entire sentence, then can isolate each word for individual pronunciation). Includes four headphone jacks for group participation, volume control, and works with a power adapter (included).
