| Four Goal Soccer |
Objectives: Kicking; dribbling with feet; teamwork; foot/eye coordination.
Equipment: 8 saucer field cones; 8 wiffle balls; 16 colored pinnies (four of four different colors); one rubber soccer ball.
How to play: Divide the players into groups of four. Give each group four colored pinnies to wear. Set the goals up in a square, approximately 75-100 feet x 75-100 feet. A goal consists of two half cones about 6 feet apart with a wiffle ball sitting on top of it. Each team selects a goalie, who stands in front of their team’s goal. The other three players stand in the middle of the play area. On the signal to begin, the players attempt to get the ball and score a goal against one of the other three team members. A goal is scored when a wiffle ball is knocked off of a cone. Once a goal is scored. The goalie puts the wiffle ball back on the cone and then kicks or throws the soccer ball to a teammate who continues the game. Only goalies can use their hands to touch the ball. Teams can switch goalies after a goal is scored. |
